all the cdt line of speakers use the same tweeter except the ES and 07 models got the special "high end" versions. i would have to say if you do get a tweeter from cdt dont get anything under there 24mm size cuz any smaller than that and the sound pretty bad. but thats just my input.

tw-24s is now the main 1in silk tweet used. The ES(specific model only) and the 07 series use the DRT-26 Modular tweet. This tweet is not on the braxial. The DRT-26 is available for all components upon request.

What tweets are used on the braxials? I ask wondering which tweeter is responsible for the "laid back" response of the HDs vs. the brighter Eurosports. Or, maybe this difference is no longer as immediately apparent given different tweeters being used than a year or two ago?

The hd set used to use the tw25s then switched to the tw24s standard while the es used to have the es100 and now they use the drt26. The braxial versions both use the drt26. The hd comps now use the drt25 standard. The drt25 and 26 are the best IMO. The drt26a is my favorite of all the cdt tweeters. The es07 sets use either the drt26 or the es-01. If u want a smooth laid back tweeter u want either the drt25 or 26s.

djdilliodon, do you consider the old ES-100 to be laid back? How does the 26s compare to it? And what makes the alum your favorite?

The es100 is not as good as the drt26s. The drt26s is smoother and is more natural sounding. It also doesnt get harsh at high volume like the es100's sometimes do. I like the drt26a cause it has the best sound to me. Its not harsh or very laid back its in the middle which i prefer a little detail.
