CDA-9886 with PXA-H100

Hey I just got an Alpine head unit (previous alpine owner for over 8 years) and wanted to keep my Bass Engine Pro features of my 9835. So I got the PXA adapter, I ordered the microphone calibration kit KTX-H100 and tried to set it up. When it tries to measure it always give the -3 error or failure to communicate with the left speaker. I have JL XR components in the front with diamond coaxials in the back running off the JL 300/4, and an audio control matrix 13v line driver. I have tried reconnecting it various times, also tried turning off the crossovers off on the amps. Nothing has worked...

Does anyone have a fully amped system (fr/rear/sub) with the 9886 and the pxa and has gotten it to work? Any tricks or tips or something I am doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!
