the h/u is not admiting any sound what so ever is it pissible if one of the ext amp switches on the bottom will cause this....no i do not have a factory amp plz help asap pics will be posted of internals if needed thank you

 
the 9886 has 3 buttons on the bottom for the external amp u can buy from alpine one of the buttons is broken and i think it is switched to external amp and i think thats the proble i just wanted to know if anyone has experance with thes h/u's

 
My Alpine 9887 has an option where you can turn off the internal amplifier if you're running separate amps. So look through your setting and see if you can find where it say internal amplifier and see if it is on.
