CDA 9855 sux

I've been wanting to get that out for a while...

Over the last 2 years I've been through 3 Alpine decks ( 7987, 9835 , 9855 ). I loved them all except the 9855. It is a great unit except for one thing, the POS glide touch. The glide touch just plain suxs....period.

IMO the 9835 is one of the best HU's Alpine has ever put out. Right now I'm rebuilding my system and if I don't go DVD I will go back with the 9835 OR I will run the 7998. I love the phantom face, only thing is with all the moving parts not sure how reliable it will be.

I haven't had a single problem with mine.

I hate the glide touch as well. I'd never be able to figure it out ... after all, I barely know how to use the 7998 and there are a few buttons I haven't pressed on my 9813 yet.

I have a 9853 and havent one complaint about it i dont see what the big deal is about the glide touch i havent had a problem with it at all.
