i had a problem where my old sony head unit would skip because of bass...try to take it out, and either, wrap it with some sort of foam, or add a backstap. those two solved my problem
Yeah, make sure your deck is securely mounted and if it is and you still have the skipping maybe you could get it cleaned. A dirty laser is more apt to skip than a clean one.
i have the same problem with mine and i was gonna post a thread about it but i found this one (although its a bit old). it skips on every little jolt. now i thought i would use a cd laser cleaner thing from best buy or something but the alpine manual says "do not use" one of those, and take it to an authorized alpine dealer. anyone know how to solve this? should i just use the little lazer cleaner thing? i mean what can the dealer do that i cant...for free at least?
