I am trying to reconstruct my CD collection after someone walked off with my old collection of 100 CDs that took me years to organize, cull, etc. But this gives me an opportunity for a new start. I don't download music. I don't have (or want an Ipod) I would rather buy the CD than download, but that's just me.

Yes, I know some of the albums are not of the same genre but i listen to different types of music depending on my mood.

Here is what I have in my 'shopping cart' so far

a) Bob Segar-- Nine tonight, live version

b) Lauryn Hill-- MTV Unplugged

c) BlackStar -- Black Star

Any other suggestions...something with music (read: instruments) and that is good for just crusing down the road as I do alot of highway driving at night and such. I will probably buy one or two more CDs for now.

the nirvana mtv unplugged cd is great...
that is, if you like nirvana
Not to big of a nirvana fan as I cannot understand what kurt kobain was saying, especially in the "smells like teen spirit song"

Thanks for the suggestion though. I was thinking about an older "The Roots" album as they used real instruments.

The Roots-Illadelph Halflife

Eagles - Hell Freezes Over
That's all I can think of for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I was thinking of trying to find a 'mix' cd with both seger and the eagles, but I am thinking they were from different times.

Against the wind, is slowing becoming a favorite song of mine. Mainly because they play it at lowes at about the time I leave.

the young jeezy cd its such a good cd every song hits:)
I am so appauled by this comment that I can't even think of what really to say. It is as if you drop kicked the hamster off the wheel. I appreciate the help but ****....it's like you don't have a clue.

Jim, where is that google link for searching for a clue?

I know you can't write, but please tell me you can read...
I laughed pretty hard....one poster mentions the eagles and bob seger, another young jeezy.

Isn't he the one that has the song, 'anywhere you meet me, I am guarenteed to go down' or is that one of those other idiot rapping about chicken noodle soup or sunday school songs.

Maybe not your taste, but anything by Harry Connick Jr. tends to be catchy. I'm not one for lounge tunes, but he's always been a guilty pleasure of mine. (i mean that in the straightest way possible:naughty: )
