cd player vs double din dvd player for spl...

Ok right now I have a pioneer deh-p7800mp and I was looking at getting the new avh-p6000dvd or a used z2 with nav. my question is will it affect my systems performance by switching to a dvd player? The cd player has a 16 band eq and the dvd player only has like a 3 or 5 band eq and I don't even know if it has the crossover or not. Whaddyou guys think? thanks
