cd player voltage issues?

I have a JVC AVX2 and for some reason it randomly restarts. But only when the system is playing loudly. The voltage does not drop below 12.8 in the vehicle. Is this something wrong with my car or should I just buy a new deck?

Ok so i bought another deck and it had the same problem. and then literally started sparking and next a small fire. I cant figure out what the problem is everything is def wired correctly.

So today i decide to say screw the factory wires from the car and run my own battery cable and a new wire to the fuse panel and a new ground. Everything is running fine now so far. What could the problem have been and is there a risk to me doing it this way?

Oh and also I changed the remote turn for my amps to the fuse panel instead of the deck

There had to be some sort of short for it to catch fire.Your probably better of running your own(no harm)But I would try and find what caused it just so the whole car doesn't catch fire...

ok it did it again and i can smell a burning fuse i think. What else could cause this. Could the amps be doing it? like something coming through the remote wire?

Honestly, since you can't find it I'd say quit guessing and get someone to look at it.

You will just have to check everything one by one.That's about all you can do.No one will be able to guide you without seeing the problem first hand I would imagine.GL

usually a headunit will shutdown if it has to low of a voltage.

where did u take that reading from?

Ok here is what I found today.

2 issues that could be the culprit

My 2 channel amp got pushed tightly against the back of the car causing it to cut though the carpet and touch against the bare metal of the care. and underneath the amp the remote wire had a very small rip in the wire surround causing bare metal wire to touch the bottem of the amp.

Im gonna assume this is what caused the probelms. But who knows
