CD Player skips

I just put my old system in my girlfriends car it is just one QPower 12" sub and a 450 watt amp. I cant remember what kind of Head unit she had but when she has the bass up with a CD it will skip and sometimes it plays parts of random songs..... But it does not do this when you listen to the radio.... But I did notice that her head unit is kinda loose and I was thinking that the unit may be vibrating making it skip.... What do you guys think?
