cd player skips when turned loud

I have a stock 6 disc cd player/changer with stock amp.

im running 3 high low converters from the stock amp to 2 amps.

when i turn it loud and the bass is high it starts to sound like the disc is scratched or skipping.. but its not because of too much vibration or scratched cd.

can anyone help me diagnose this problem.. it never occured with my alpine deck =(

I havethe same problem with this pioneer 6000 model. Luckily for me, it has a usb input on the back. I just bought a 16 gig flash drive and problem solved. In fact, next cd player I buy will not have the ability to play cds... going completely usb.

I will never regret getting my 9886 because of the usb hookup...my flash-drive doesnt skip //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif (Id suggest getting a headunit with a usb hookup...8-gig's of music and no skipping, just plugs right in)

i took the 9884 alpine out because my stock deck is woodgrain and matches the wood grain console.. or else there would be an alipine deck with a black metra kit in the middle of the woodgrain console

what i did with my old unit was, removed it from the dash, then i cut some dyna mat to the units shape, of all side, put some of the dynamat or any type of foam or rubber type material that has a slight thickness to it. put an even amount on all side, not to much because its going to be a tight fit when u reinstall it, u can use some silicone oil to lube it but just a little. ive noticed that when the unit moves from vibrations or hits aginst the dash or the mount, that is what causes it to skip. so isolate it the best you can, even on the mount to dash and the mount screws also. i isolated everything i could, and the hu didnt skip anymore. if this dont work try a usb, or try a transmitter. you can transmit a mp3 signal to a un used channel on your radio.

I have the same problem. I have a P600UB HU. And its very bad, but I only get it when the car is running. When I have my subs on with the car off I can turn it up as loud as i want to. I dont want to give up on pioneer, but they are the only HU's I have had this issue with. So I use the USB now, but i just hate doing all that converting everytime I get a new CD.
