Should be a tossup between HDMI and toslink since they are both digital connections. I'd go with HDMI as I like the one cable solution for both audio and video. I'm not sure what DACs the hd-a2 has, but the DACs in the Denon are Analog Devices AD-1835. You could try the analog outputs but I doubt you will find they sound better.ok right now i have my hd dvd player hooked up via hdmi. what is the best conneciton?
hdmi
toslink
analog
?
hd-a2 to denon 2807
oh yah its for cd listning
Sarcasm? I hope. For a true CD listening experience you need an analog connection. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Indeed....For a true CD listening experience you need an analog connection. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
I doubt it...Sarcasm? I hope.
Indeed...Nope, just a fact. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nerd.gif.c6fa51ddf7ff75f1c0371fbc648f70ae.gif
So a digital connection to a DAC superior to that of the original player would yield a less than perfect "CD listening experience"?
