Cd player keeps ejecting cds??

Hello im a pretty big newbie to this site however i do have a problem. My cd player that was installed used around 3 months ago has been working fine up until tonight. Now when ever i put a cd in it, it shoots it back out. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Could be a number of things. First off, I would start off by using lens cleaner cd, the lens may be dirty, and cannot read the cd. If that doesnt work, check all your wireing. If it still doesnt work, then you might need to look in to buying a new one.

My first guess would be the spring, happened to my pop's head unit, what brand is it? If it's still under 1 year then just bring it to an authorized repairer for service.

First things first, press the reset button if it has one.

make sure your cd is a cd-r and not a cd-rw.

If it is a CD-RW compatible head unit (and most are nowadays) why would this make a difference? And the original poster could have been using a bought CD rather than a burnt one to begin with.

Its not the cd format, because it reads most of them. Its just weird how it ejects the cd as soon as it put into the cd player. Sorry it took me so long to respond adn thanks for all the help. Ill try to find my lens cleaner, pull it out and see if there is any loose wires and also try to reset it. Thanks guys

Does it give you an error code? if it does, check the manual and see what the problem is. Is it just one particular cd or any of them?
