She's peaking at 45 hz, but I swear it sounds louder when its playing 30-35 but the meter doesnt concour. She's using a Mach 5 audio SPL 12 for a sub and one powerbass 1500....sometimes two if she wants to play in higher SPL classes.
Interesting. I was thinking 50-55 would be the peak. What is her enclosure tuned to? That Mach is making some noise mang //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

its tuned to 42 hz, so the peak of around 45 is about what is to be expected. Her box is really a streat beater style box since in MECA you cant use advanced materials (fiberglass, resins, duraliner, marble, etc) so its not exactly the optimum design for SPL. See at first she wanted to just have some beat in her ride, so I designed the box to have good response over all lower end spectrum frequencies. But then she started attending some MECA events and got the competition bug //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

when i had my TL i tested the res. freq. and it was in the low 40's...i tune to 38hz for SPL. the res. freq. of a cav is unusually low....
Must be my config somehow then. I will have to move the box around and see what happens. it is a mag in 2.1@31hz. I need to get my galaxy out there with the laptop and plot some graphs I guess. Maybe my ears are fooling me.

eh I forgot I let my team mate borrow my Termlab. ghey. Anyways, she thru that SX and and it sounds to me its peaking higher around 49-50 now.
This is more in tune with what my ears tell me too. We all know ears can be very deceiving though so I really just need to get my lazy *** out there with my galaxy and REQ. Maybe this weekend I can find the time for it.

i also have a ton of sound deadening and foam padding which can tweek the res. freq. too.
That is more than likely it. I have zero ATM. I am sure it will get it down the road. That adds mass to the metal. I may be getting a "ring" from the metal itself at these frequencies, shifting the perceived note. It is all guessing though until I get some measurements.
