I saw an old grand prix today and noticed the side mirrors are mounted on the hood/fenders of the car what other cars have this. im thinking of getting mirrors off a car like it to put on my nissan pickup

Define "old."

I cannot remember any Grand Prix model that the mirrors were mounted anywhere but the doors from the factory.

like on of the first model gran prix. id say it would be form the 50s or 60s

I stand corrected! That pic is a '62, the year that the Pontiac division of General Motors introduced the Grand Prix. From the info I found on the 'Net they placed the mirrors such until the '65 model year.

first gen RX7's have mirrors on the hoods. I think it was a japan only thing though.

theres a lot of cars that had this. if anything just order one from a grandprix dealer or something.....or to make it even more bad ***, harley mirrors would work.

yea chopper mirrors were my origional thought. but i also wanted to check into these as well. can you still order parts for older vehicles from the dealers?

yes, most likely. they are called NOS parts. may be hard to get aholdof through the dealer, plus a pretty penny, but search for some forums on whatever car your wanting them from, and ask about sales.
