carpet my box or no

I have a bot for my 15 xxx, and its just plain wood......no carpet or paint.

I dunnp if the guy was full of shit, but he told me not to carpet it because it can change the sound or spl or something???? Is this true, and if so, is it enuff to make a big difference??? Also, does anyone paint their boxes.

I was also gonna seal the inside w/ something to make sure its completely airtite........anyone use rhinoliner in a box before??

What else do you use to seal it other that fiberglass.

Use silicone caulk to seal the inner joints of the enclosure.

As for everything else, it's false...

just make sure it is dry before you screw the sub in
