CarPC: Fully customizable or preprogrammed?

Would you guys buy a car pc if it came without any programs installed except an operating system and maybe some navigational software? Basically a fully customizable system where you can install all your own preferred software. Or would you rather have a rigid platform that had everything already installed much like the StreetDeck?

I'm just doing a little market research and would like to know what you guys would prefer.

for me personally the whole reason for a car pc is for the customization and personalization, otherwise its just a double din or whatever size screen with a large hard drive. Need to be able to personalize change up skins, and wallpaper/backgrounds and change apps to ones you already enjoy using or find appealing.

Are you talking purely software or a whole bundled system, hardware and all?

I'd probably prefer DIY either way, that's how I did mine. I was able to install any hardware I wanted, as well as software.
