but that is also the only place you can have a fuse installed.. no fuses under the hood or in front of the second battery unless you want them to count towards your fuse total..

Let me rephrase that. If you're sponsored you SHOULDN'T run an amateur class. I have a feeling that people were doing it last year, but none of the amateurs on my team got any discounts or anything on their stuff.

Well that may be something that you should talk to Steve Stern about. Honestly, MECA is way too lax on the sponsorship rules. I think that the AS class in general is a bunch of bull.

I have 2 300A fuses under the hood //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif and a 5A fuse before the amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Either class you pick isn't going to be easy one bit. If you'd like to have a better chance of winning a world championship then I'd go the AS route. I have a lot of experience with working on AS cars //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Our AS1 and AS2 trucks won world finals last year.

ya i mean i am amateur so i should run amateur street!! that is where you have to play music, car off, and no custom fuseblocks right? What is the fuse limits on as1 and as2?

I'd recommend doing it. The competition is easier and it'll give you time to get used to competing. Yeah, no custom fuse blocks. The fusing limitations is the same for S1 and S2.

ok so with (1) 35 amp fuse i could run AS1 and with (2) 40 amp fuses I could run AS2. Can you run 2 classes at the same event?
I forgot what the rule is for that. I know each class you run you must pay for. You can't run two classes for the price of one. But if I'm not mistaking, I think that a car is only allowed to rule one spl class during the show. If you own multiple cars you can run different classes. Read through the rule book, it's a better source than me:)
