I have made a fibreglass install for my screen (please see below) I have just got my order, a carbon fibre vinyl. It has a sticky side but just wondering if I should heat it 2 mould it on. Any ideas or tips cheers

sorry i cant help you with the vynl but ...

why not buy some REAL CF on ebay and do a layer or two on the front (after sanding and filling) instead of fake CF? a little resin + wetsand goes a long way.

would be really sweet.

no air bag in the first place.

i just had a place where you could keep change. i found a bit off trim off an earlier model which was flat so when im parked up i put that back on it and the screen is totally hidden.

I have also put the glove box back on since the pic was taken and installed a PS2 slimline into it.

i have never dealt with CF before to be quite honest i didn't know you could buy "real CF" i didn't see any when i was searching on ebay.

in sheets just like fiber glass. it can be done with just fiber glass resin like you want with wet sanding just have to be REAL carefull cutting it so you dont pull the strands.

nothing on the english ebay and i can not wait another 10 or so days for it 2b shipped from the states. im just going 2 try and give it a go with what i have got. but i will definatly get some when i think of my next project

The false carbon fiber doesn't adhere very well; You should definately heat it with a hairdryer to get some decent curve out of it, but don't think it's gonna curve very well.

I just wrapped an eightball w/ it, and took some pics, but they came out crappys, I had to lighten them up.

Anyway, it's kinda moldable, but it'll take some work. It gets brittle after you heat it.
