I guess it depends how rich you are. Professional athletes probably are not in their car too much but have systems that are well over $5000. I personally would not have spent that much if I wasnt in my car that often.

it depends, i mean some people do car audio because its kinda a hobby for them others do it have bumps, i mean if u got the money why not, or if you enjoy car audio alot then go for it

Will it be worth the 1500 when the kid in high school who spent 300 pulls up next to you with his blue light special 12 bottoming out and you just grin and push the

att-off button and watch him roll his window up?

I'm not bashing guys who don't spend alot of money on their setup. If you can get some good clean sound with 300, then hell yeah, do it. If you spend 300 on a hu, amp, sub, box, and new front fill then the chances are that it sounds like a$$.

i won't embarrass anyone who keeps thier stuff clean. If its low and clean i just chill, if its distorted at all, then i hit the att and thats it.

I spend a good bit of time in my ride so to me its worth every penny.

Car audio is kind of a hobby for me but I justify it by saying I spend a lot of time in the car. I somehow doubt I would have spent as much as I have if I didn't spend any time in the car but then again you never know.

very true.

i dont drive all that much, my scchool is 2 minutes away from me, gf's house is down a few streets, many friends live close by me. I dont care though i gradually built my system and i used my b-day and Xmas to my advantage.
