A shoutbox is a complete waste of valuable screen real estate. This forum's active members cannot be trusted to make good use of such a thing. You'd see ASCII artwork and censor workarounds for days.

For starters the chat function would be terrible, for 2 its already been discussed and shot down, for 3 there is a section of forum feedback and its not the Thunderdome.
