Hey Scott, i dunno if this question has already been asked, i looked thru a bunch of this thread and didn't see it, but how does the 18" btl w/3rd mag compare to the 18" MT. Is it the same basic technology as the MT? i know the MT isn't vented, and one of the options on the BTL is venting, but can it handle as much power as an MT??? this would be for daily driving (i know they say the MT isn't "musical" but i know plenty of people who have had success with it as a daily driver). Thanks!!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Scott, if 1/3 of ****** chocolate isn't good enough for a free sub how about 1/1 of ****** constipation......

come on...that's gotta be worth at least a 12"...........lol

I gotta get a life.........

and by the way, I was serious about an east coast branch of Fi if you're interested.........I don't have anything to contribute at the moment but would be willing to learn and work.

99accordman... huh? We use both round and flat aluminum wire (and some copper for a few things) but leadwire is supposed to be used for attaching the coils to the terminals, not for making voicecoils out of. Not sure if that was what you meant...

Lowjacker... yeah, you and me both. Sorry, still not quite there yet //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

DMZ2711... With the third magnet they are pretty much identical to the MT. Really only difference is that the top plate on the BTL tucks 6mm up into the basket to save a little weight and to help use up some wasted space and keep the rock ratio to a better level. Even with only 2 magnets, they are pretty much identical. There is only a slight loss in motor strength that would not be noticed in most installs (just saves 12+ lbs per sub and your back in trying to stuff them in a wall)

With the venting options it does keep things cooler for daily driving. In testing, much cooler. We are pushing more for the extreme daily systems and Bassrace applications with the cooling and less for many of the pure SPL applications. The cooling doesnt do too much in the way of cooling for short SPL blasts, but it does relieve pressure under the dustcaps which keeps them in certain apps from popping off under extreme pressure.

lilmaniac2... must have glossed over your question. Sorry. Yes I can build recones for many of the subs out there including those. For the DD subs I would need to know as much info about them as possible, like if they have the spacers, still the 4 spoke basket... that stuff as they seem to change things many times over the years.

Ford302... finally got the specs and pics updated. BTL specs in the next day or two for the standard 2 magnet subs. For the Q 12 I recommend between .8 and 1.5 cuft. Even at .8, the sub still plays clean and deep. But for most I recommend a little on the larger side 1.2-1.5 cuft. You can go a little smaller and simply add up to 1 pound of poly fill per cuft used. Itll lower the qtc as well.

Again... finally got some pics and specs updated on the site... way too long to get it done... but for some reason things got a little busy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
