Car Troubles- Weird noises from engine* VIDS*

wow that sucks man,if u can get around town with out a car for a few weeks or even a month or 2 so u can save man just junk it if its to much. See i dont have a car right now i could go get a pos to get around but its not worth it. If u have your own insurance policy then its gona **** cuz your gona have to turn in the plates and then u will have to restart up a new policy when u get a new ride. Just dont rush in to buyin another pos man. I know your young and wana be able to get around on your own . You dont wana get used to driving these cars with issues. Save your money and do what u gota do to get around town for a month or so or even longer. Sounds like a bearing issue. good luck bro

Yea I have been cool the first couple days. but bunch of shit going on now. Mom is in the hospital. On her uncle they just found a 6" mass by his liver. But school is under a half mile away and work i can see my place of employment right now. (100 yards away or less) so i do not need a car it is just helpful so i do not have to rely on other people. I cannot put more than 300 into this. Plus inspection will be another 300+ so it is not worth it. I am saving for a newer car. Thanks man

Thanks. she is fine now. Just a few day wait. and from ha said labor is going to **** since it is in the engine so i guess junking this one.

Just start saving and keep an eye on craigslist, never know whatcha might find.

yea. my boss wants 2700 for his focus. it is an 02 i think.

But that is out of my range. I hope to save over a grand and find something around that and put the system i wanted in

Scrap it and get yourself a new or used just do not buy from a place called bidic bought my last car there and had a few problems but was able to work them out.

He said it sounds the timing belt. the teeth came off. and it needs replaced. but i am not sure that the engine would make that noise due to a timing belt.

I would be very surprised it would be running at all if it were the timing chain/belt.

Was it running like crap after the noise started?

i never drove it after that. It sounds like it could be the timing belt because it does not want to start at all now. but i do not think the engine would have sounded like it did due to the timing belt.

The car wouldnt run if the timing belt went out. It spins the cam(s) that control when the valves move up and down, if the valves dont move the pistons might strike and you would be lucky for the car to even start up.

but if the belt stretches due to age, it will slip a tooth and possibly could sound like @$$
