Car system in house....

I hooked my TS-W2000SPL in a ported box to a home reciever that only puts out like 50W RMS the cone doesn't move that much but it shakes the whole house . I still can't figure out what my box is tuned to though. I hooked the same sub and box up to a more powerful reciever at a friends house and it really slams. The only problem I have is I can't figure out how to hook the sub up to the subwoofer pre out so I have to hook it up to the speaker terminals and it plays the words of the songs. So is there anyway to stop my sub from playing the words? Is there some type of program I can use to find out what my box is tuned to?

Yeah, those will help with the amplification problem //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

You need some sort of external amp; no receiver that I know of out there will properly power a subwoofer directly.

If there is one out there, please, prove me wrong.

Just get a pro audio amp or a plate amp designed for home subwooofer use. and yes a crossover is needed, and not just some crappy 6 db/oct bass blockers. You need a good passive x-over 24 db/oct recommended. You could also get a decent pro audio powered x-over for under $100. This is what I use in my house.

12v amps are not worthwile in your house. Bad idea. Not a DC supply out there under $500 that could run any decent amp.

x2. Rane AC22's or DBX 223's can be both picked up for 75 bones used, or a little over 100 NIB.

Not a DC supply out there under $500 that could run any decent amp.
Also x2. Unless you build it yourself, you're not going to find a 100A supply for under $300-400...the market for them simply isn't there as it is for 20-50A supplies.
