I'm looking to upgrade my stock premium sound system. The speakers in there now are pretty decent, but i'd like more midbass. Any suggestions?? My budget is around 200-300 for component speakers for the doors, and coaxials for the rear. If there aren't any good ones for cheap, then i'd have to buy them one at a time for the system. Any suggestions? I was looking at the alpine type rs and the infinity kappa perfects, any expierence with either?

depends on how much sub power you have...front stage is most important though. A lot of people on here leave rear stock because the woofers in the trunk will compete with the rears and overpower them anyway and they'll just sound muddy no matter how good they are (unless you have enclosures for them or someway to seal them). You'll probally be happiest just spending everything on nice front components 6.5s. Infinity perfects are decent so are the type Rs. I think if you got a 300 budget and u spent it on front comps u might be realllllly happy with these HERTZ by Elettromedia - Special Car Stereo course you'll need an amp for them, don't know what you're planning to run the speakers off deck, stock amp, after market amp?

Im using stock HU, it has nav so i dont want to lose it. Ill buy an amp depending on the compnents. My stock amp is pushing 50rms i think. I just invest in the comps then. So if i keep my stock amp for the rear and center channels, ill just run a signal to the new amp and then just hook it up like normal? Im going to check that link out now.

Im going to check out the ba stuff too.

Arent new kappas like 200?

Honestly, I havent looked. I paid like $250 when I got them. PM, and we can work something out.

is there a specific model i should look into with the hertz or ID?

are these any good?

My new budget would be around 300-325 with amp and speakers. The BA sr60's are 180, not too bad. The pro60se are about 290. Do you think it would be a huge difference if i just bought the sr60s, or waited and purchased the pro60se? the sr's have 85 rms, while the pro's have 125 rms. Besides power handling, any big diferences between them? sound quality?? After reading reviews on the pros, they seem pretty good, but alot of people say they lack midbass? I want alot of midbass, so i hope their reviews aren't true lol Thanks for your help.

Also, i hear amps make your break you system. Any suggestions on amps to at either 100x2 or 125x2? i have an audioque1200d for my sub

Check out the soundstream amps on woofersect. Com. Nice ampor the price. Also the pro se components have good midbass if installed corectlly. The image dynamics would probably be allitle better on midbass, but the tweets will be more mellow.

Bostons tweeters are pretty bright and very detailed, they pick up sounds i have never heard in cheaper speakers . however they can get overpowering for some ,but you can fix this by turning trebble setting down some. The midbass on these are pretty bangin on their higher lines like the pro se . The id i have not heard but im interested in they suposedly are more natural sounding tweets and nice midbass. I recently found out the Hybrid technologies imagine series comps are around the $200 something range wich is what im looking for. But anyways these are nice from what i hear.

i heard turning the treble down when the tweeters are to bright, lowers sq? i have no idea though, thats just what i heard lol I'm really looking into the pro se's. i dont want to buy something i wont like and have to upgrade later on, eventually costing more money in the end. The pros seem good, i just want really good midbass, and decent - good high range. Im down to the pro se's and the id's. thanks for your help. what are the hybrid technologies comps?

the boston pros are calling my name, lol but the 3ohm impedance is killing me lol
