car paint on mdf box?

Yea you can paint it, just primer it first like already stated. Then wet sand down your primer and spray on the basecoat and clear coat. It will look very nice.
bad idea unless your talking about just useing wetsand paper. mdf+water =really bad

if you are going to go for a gloss look use a high build primer so that when yo uwetsand you dont have a chance of going through. It will take more work but you dont riskgetting a puffy patch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not if you prime it first. It will seal it.

That is correct.

I also suggest using a high build filler primer, then a guide coat and then wet sand that.

MDF is not as flat as it looks. When sanding with a guide coat, you will see this. And if you do a nice paint job, wavy MDF will show.
