Car is a MESS!! D@MN!

I started working on my install last week, I am pulling drywall screws outa door panels and electrical tape is EVERYWHERE!

I am stuck on the head unit cause there is SO much tape back there it's not even funny.

I have my speakers, my amps, most of my wires but I just can't seem to get over the crappy PO install! I keep having to take a step back and say WTF??

I forgot to mention that I have blown 6 fuses from non-audio related systems trying to repair the hacked install!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif They have cut all kinds of cr@p in the dash!!

This is my car and I am planning on keeping it for a while. Just can't figure why anyone else would have done such a hacked job!

Drywall screws? Manoman - the previous owner of that car (or whoever did that install) needs to be slapped around a bit...

Crimp caps, butt connectors, or a soldered-then-heatshrink-wrapped connection is a better solution than any tape. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I hacked the heck out of the HU putting the stock deck back in when I sold it.

So are you talking about the Porsche, the Ford, or the BMW?

I'll assume the Porsche as it's forefront in the picture.

It's a 928. I'm not a Porsche expert so I wouldn't know to guess at the year nor do I know how well it is optioned so I don't know if it's a 928S but a 928 it is, nonetheless.

Here's a pic of the HU and it's wires. Pics are still too big, I'll try to work on them. Remember this is a "NEW" HU to the car.

BTW my car is an '88, it is almost 20 YO. Did you know that you can get these for under 10K?
