Well i recently bought a 2000 nissan maxima with 112000 miles. I love the car and it rides out. I'm throwing a system in it but i wrecked it on the dirt roads swerving out of the way of a big f'n hog. My buddy said i was inches. I totaled the passenger side on a guard rail.
I was quoted at about 3 grand to fix it correctly and not do a half *** job. Bought the car for 4,500 i figure its worth about 6 if i fix it up. The only problem the engine has is a small leak out of the aluminum oil block. I figure i could fix it my self if i found shop time because i have to hoist the engine up and undo engine mounts.
So far iv done the following
Mobile 1 super syn fluids

NGK laser iridium spark plugs
K@N drop in air filter
Used like new tires
So i guess im backwards so to say sense i owe 3,500 to my dad for the car and its not worth that with the damage. I figure i can get all the parts for it for 1 grand and paint them for another 1,500. But then i might as well paint the whole car and fix the driver door problem, closes weird. Then it's going to need a new suspension soon. Figure i could do the install myself and find some shocks and stunts that somebody doesn't want for that.
I had plans to throw some 18's and a new suspension on the car and drive the car threw college maby some engine mods sense the engine runs like new. But with body damage.
So about 3-5 grand to fix it up. Or f*** it and drive it till the wheels come off.
