This is my first time using a CAP. The first question I have is once the cap receives the pre charge before installing, what happens to the voltage stored in it if not used. From my experience with smaller capacitors, I know they will discharge over time. With this much bigger CAP, I am not sure if the voltage will be held by a diode. The next questoin I have is what turns the CAP on and off ? I have a SPL CP5.0 CAP. The last question is, when do I adjust the potentiometer to adjust the voltage ? thanks.
