Capacitor

hey i know capacitors are pretty much pointless but mine just shut off, like the light emitting diodes just shut off, so im guessing the capacitor is even more pointless, but n e ideas on wut went wrong and is it bad to keep it hooked up to my system?

Does it have a remote wire. If so, is it loose.
