My capacitor has a voltage adjustment on it, maybe all of them do, but can i turn this up to supply more power to my amp???
Close - but no cigar. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The voltage regulator which may or may not be built into your vehicles alternator is solely responsible for the average voltage produced by the alternator.it's a voltage reader.. the only way to increase the voltage going to ur amp is to increase the voltage of your car's electrical system. to do this, do the big 3, new battery, new alt.
Well swing and a miss for you, too.Close - but no cigar. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif The voltage regulator which may or may not be built into your vehicles alternator is solely responsible for the average voltage produced by the alternator.http://www.carcare.org/Electrical/voltage_regulator.shtml
True, but if his factory alt is regulated to 13.5V and he gets an alternator regulated to something higher than that like around 14.4V (standard for some vehicles, and safe for the vehicle's electronics) he will get a boost without worrying about the rest of the car's electrcial system. Most factory electronics will fry with 15+v, so if you did raise the entire system at the alty, you'd need to step it down for the accessories cable leading to the car. Your starter and your system would be happy, tho.
