Capacitor

that i dont know lol never tried it but i have been in a car when the battery died and the car did too that was red top number 1 lol on the way home from marion
a car can run with a dead bat, it just needs a jump to be started. but a car cant run w/o a bat, cause the current needs to travel through the bat from the alt. and you can drive for a couple minutes w/o an alt, lol, i found that out the hard way when the belt snaped on my 88 tempo on the way to the mall. i only got like a mile or 2

when my batt died on my firebird it died died died lol i was on the highway pulled off to go down the road i live off of and ploop it died. only thing i died was went home picked up the old megastart started right up. nothing was really ever wrong with the mega start it just didnt do well in an sq contest where they listen to the majority of a cd with the key off.

thats weird, never heard of that

yuh when you hooked it up to a charger it read dead and shot sparks on the charger lmao to be honest i forget what actually happened but i had to walk 2 miles to use a fone and my buddy was pissed cause i made him sit in the car while i made a call was a swell time marion to me always was a bad omen . i went there 3 times for contests and had a battery die once then a flat tire then a deck malfunction lol ended up being my first dead alpine.

If current must travel thrue battery, it means that batt and alt are in series no? well they are connected in parallel so why current cant pass if there is no battery?when i connect many loads in parallel with a source, i can remove some load and still current will pass:S:S thx

Here is a pic. Lets say that the loads in parallel are ******* 40A from the battery when the engine is off. Once the car is on, now alt is powering the batt and the loads. Sure there some diodes for the alt etc... so that batt do not send current to alt when car is off.... once car is on, we can see that all connections are in parallel, so the loads will try to **** the 40A+ battery will now b ecome a load and lets say tru to **** 20A to recharge=> we are ******* 60A from alt. If we remove the battery, we will still have a closed loop, so y current wont reach the remaining loads?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif:S thx

ok you just confused the crap outta me. i dont know what your talking about at all, i just know that the current generated from the alt cannot be used in the electrical system without traveling through the bat first. i was told this by a mechanic when my bat died.

i dunno lol i just used an experience i had. if you notice though the battery had a malfunction of some kind (it would short out when you tried to charge it) im not a mechanic . lord knows that lol
