ok so i had a problem recently with my system but im pretty sure i fixed it, in the process of fixing it my capacitor doesn't display the numbers it used to for the voltage. i tried "charging" it by removing my fuse under my hood with a 12v test light and it won't even light up. my system plays fine though.

any ideas?

well typically capacitors arnt the best idea how many watts rms is your system?
i don't even know man ive just kind of "winged" everything myself. I have a Pioneer 760W amp Maximum Power, 2 10" Kicker comps, kicker 6x9 components and a clarion headunit that retails for like 600 don't know specific model just bought it.

i have an 8 gauge power wire with 8 gauge ground

CVRs are, what, 400W RMS each? Maximum power means nothing, you need to pick up something that does 800+ RMS power. And buy a 4 gauge amp kit.

Yes. A 760W max amp is probably around 380W RMS, which is not enough power for those subs. Get something that's 800-1000W RMS. If you go over, you'll have a little headroom, which is never a bad thing, if you know what you're doing.
