Capacitor help please

ive got a 2 farad capacitor and ive lost the resistor i need to charge it to hook it up.

what size of resistor do i need to charge it. and will a cap help voltage drops a lot?

ive only got one 12" kicker cvr and an alpine 400 watt amp but i have some bad!!!!! voltage drops

you could use a test light, the bulb will light up at first then dim as its charged

Dam, voltage drops with that little power? Check ur ground...

put your tongue between the contact's on it. It'll only sting for a bit.

seriously though, your ground must ****, or your battery has an issue.

sounds like a real low ohm load and the amp cant take change your impedance and see if it helps before you add the cap if it helped then add the cap and you will be rock solid

its wired at 2 ohms now but on certain lows i drop from 15v to about 12v or just above.

i had it at 1 ohm but my amp isnt 1 ohm stable from what ive learned because it will go into protection mode.

so a light are you meaning like a little l.e.d?

no more like a brake light

and 12v at idle on a hard note is normal w/factory alt

okay sounds good then. so probly a dumb question but does the cap need to be grounded while charging im assuming it does
