Capable of 3k?

Im just curious. Im not really familiar with what to look at in a amp. But does this look capable of doing 3k? I know its rated 3k @ .5ohm, but im just curious about how the guts look to you the guys that know what to look for.

its a soundstream ta1.3000d.... i was trying to post it and keep the name hidden to see what people think from the board layout and what not.

i never though much about the soundstream but bro that all they were telling me on caco when i started a thread 2000w+ @.5 ohm cheap....

hm... i mean i dont know what to look for, but by by the guts id say it should be atleast good for 2500, but again im not sure what to look at. Im just comparing to other board layouts ive seen.

i never even considered running a s.s. amp but when i made a thread good amps that do rated @ .5 for cheap, the s.s. came up 3 or 4 times...

meh getting the full rated clean doesnt mean much to me. seeing it will be ran daily on music thats not gonna be huge factor due to musics tones fluxing. i do agree with the looks tho. i mean the Ruby 2500 looks just as beefy as this IMO. But i know looks can be deceiving tho. Also the Ruby is a pretty proven sold performer i just couldnt find any thing on the this amp. Im debating on the Ruby right now and running it a .5ohm. I have the electrical to support it with a problem. Or i could just grab another apsm2k and strap them and just dial them back to 2-3k but idk

It's hard to say what an amp is capable of by looking at the board. I mean, sure, it has X number of big fat caps in the power supply but what's the quality of those caps? How accurately are the toroids wound? What FETS are in it? What are the tolerances of all the components?

That said, I recently took on Soundstream and I'm not bagging on the amp. They build a good product for the money and in their upper end lines, I think they build a lot better product than people think.

I'm just saying... looking at a picture and making that accurate a determination is akin to asking me to guess your height from how well you write.

lol... i didnt know it just seems to that alot of people take a look at amps and appear to know what power its capable of just by a pic. if been in a bunch of threads from people just posting pics of guts and a guy will come in and say its capable of x amount of power. So it left me curious. thats why i didnt put the name in the original post above, just to see what people will say and their opinion. Ive been debating on this amp, a ruby 2500 or a just buying another apsm2k and strapping them and dialing them down to like 2500-3000.
