when I am wireing my cap, should I put the ground of my amp to the groung of my cap or just groun fthe cap seperate from the amp? I got my system "professionally" installed, and the put the ground from the amp to the cap and then grounded my cap, I always thought they were suppoosed to be on seperate grounds. could this be the reason why i blew my subs or did they do it right??

No, it would not cause your subs to blow. And there is nothing wrong with the way they wired it . You could run another wire from the amp to ground, but it should be ok the way it is.
