Cap Question

Having issues with dimming lights during bass notes, so considering installing a Cap. A friend offered to sell me a Stinger 1 farad Cap.

Is it necessary? Any drawbacks?

Don't do it. At best, a waste of money.

from my experience a cap only works with 1000watts or less.

Ok, apparently the opinion is against adding a cap to the system.

Can I ask someone to explain why?

My friend is pretty knowledgable about car stereo, he even used to work in a speaker production facility. He insists I need a cap.

So, why is the list against them??

if you wanna add a cap...

a better battery (or a second one) would be much better

and of course the best would be a HO alt.. but also the most expensive

x2 big3 would solve ur prob i did it in my girls car and she only has 2 12s and her lights dimmed like hell and since i didnt the big3 they dont dim and alot of poeple that use to work at shops dont no everything shit shops around my house never even heard of the big three

yea i did the big 3 on my old car (only did the big 1 on this one lol)

but i had dimming problems too and went away too after i did... and not only did the dimming get better.. but the bass notes also were deeper and longer..

You dont need one, im not going to explain why tho, that is why there is a search feature try using it
