Cap Or Alternator???

Yep - get a cap ONLY AFTER your power supply is worthy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

caps are worthless....unless they have the voltage readout, then i guess they are ok. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

*sigh*... No, caps are not worthless. But they won't help with this sort of problem. They are a good supplement to a good charging system. They are NOT a fix for a weak one. The only reason everyone thinks they are worthless is because they're trying to use them for the latter, and of course, they don't help.

There's never a "need" to have a cap. But there is always "reason" to have a cap. Less current draw, and thus more voltage at the amp, during peaks - resulting in less stress on the charging system and the amp. All good things. Anti-hype is a good thing - but this whole "Caps are evil" bit is silly. Caps are wonderful little items that have a bad reputation because idiots try to use them to make up for a weak charging system.
