Cap as distro?

Can I use my cap as a distro? Have the power line coming in and then 2 lines going out to my amps? It's basically the same thing right?
Yeah, basically. Your amp's power supply is supposed to have the caps built into it. It apparently doesn't. So you're wearing an extension. Strap another one on the end, you still won't feel anything. Get a real amp or at least real wiring. It feels better, trust me.

Well if you do whatever the **** you want, then asking for advice is pretty redundant when you're just going to turn it down.

Better wiring + battery is a way better solution than is a cap. In all senses, a capacitor is a Spiderman Band-Aid for a gunshot wound.

To answer your original question though... Yes, you can use it as a distro-block if you can fit multiple wires into the out-port on the cap. But I would advise against using a capacitor in general. It's not doing anything bad, but it's not doing much good either.

I'm not asking for advice on whether or not I should use a cap I'm asking for advice on whether or not it can also be used in place of a distro block. I'm using a cap because I want the voltmeter thats on it. Not because I'm trying to fix dimming or any of that crap.

Then take the volt meter off.
Don't think I can.

Stinger makes a little LED voltmeter than you can install in your dash or down in a cupholder or something like that. It looks a lot cleaner and a proper distro block would be better. If all else fails, just twist the wires together, pour some solder on the connection and then heat shrink it. It'll look really clean and have the best possible connection. It isn't removable though, however. Once you do that, you can't unhook it and you'd have to cut the wires. But that's a better connection than a distro-block.

Alright I'll check into those things. I really don't care about looks or anything. I just got this for free so I might as well use it.

And I've got better things to do than e-beef. I've actually got a life.
