can't play mp3s on dvd disc

i have a pioneer n2 i just got ast week and am starting to hate it... i burnt a dvd disc with mp3s on it... 1,057 total. Anyway the dvd won't play in my car?? I can play burnt mp3s on a 700mb disc and i can watch dvds but yet it wouldn't play mp3s on dvds?? i tried burning 2 cd's with nero, i tried first with the mp3 dvd then i burnt the second disc using the data dvd... neither worked. Yet i can play the cd in my dvd player of my home theatre system with no prob. Any one know the remedy??

There is NO written rule that all DVD players have to be compatible with MP3 DVDs. And guess what?? The AVIC-N2 does NOT support that.

So you hate the dvd player because you bought one that doesn't support the MP3 DVD feature and it wont play Mp3 DVD's

Lots of DVD players dont support GigaMp3 Playback

yes i do, i hate pioneer for doing stupid crap like that as well, a friend of mine just bought a jensen in dash that plays dvd mp3s... he got his for 1/4 the cost of mine

Its not just pioneer, lots of companies still dont have the GigaMp3 ability. Jenson is one of the ones who has it on most of there head units...

yeah well its primarily the reason i purchased it, i do burn mp3 discs but i often switch them out for others since i generally am able to fit about 150 per disc @ 192k...

i wanted the dvd mp3 because i can fit 1000+ on a single cd that cuts down disc changing time...anyway though, i may just get a little laptop to slap on the dash... that'll solve all my storage needs

i haven't timed it but i would guesstimate about 10-15 seconds, its just aggrivating especially since I advoid changing disc while driving. I usually wait till I get to a red light or stop sign.

thats one of the main features i would want before i even bought a new headunit.

fact is, im trying to decide to upgrade to a 9831\53, or get a new 9860\61 for the gigamp3 support.

buy my reason is so that i can burn uncompressed WAV formats to a single disc and have more music space. quality and quantity FTW.

$100 for 30gb and your set, wont play vbr though
