Can't Pair LG phone with Clarion BT??

I have been trying to pair my LGVX8100 cell phone with the Clarion MAX685BT but I keep getting a failed message. When I search from the CLarion it doesn't find my phone. When I search for the CLarion from my phone it finds it but then it fail while trying to pair with it??

Does anyone know how to get these 2 items paired?
