Cant get sound from the amp i think? please help

I have a phase linear pmp180u head unit with a kenwood 645 amp and a rockford fosgate 10 p1....the head unit doesnt have a remote wire out put so i hook the remote wire to the power antenna...the amp turns on now when i turn the head unit on and as soon as the amp turns on the sub hits soft one time...the amp isnt giving any signal to the sub im guessing...please help...btw im pretty sure the rca cables are hooked up right it goes from red to red and white to white and they are plugged in to the A spot on the amp and the speaker wire to the sub is hooked into the A spot too...please help
