i have a clarion VRS745VD in my truck. a CD is stuck and it wont eject when i press the eject button. also, when i switch the mode to CD/DVD, it wont even play the CD as it says "eject" on the screen. anyone have any suggestions for me? would taking the unit apart help or is it too much of a pain in the butt? thanks

reset didnt work, except for clearing all of my presets. what i dont understand is that the tilt button for the screen (since its a flip-out) still works and its right next to the eject button. so im thinking its not that the message isnt getting to the motors from the button, but that the motor itself that ejects the CD is wrong. ive had it for about 4 years so i would assume the warranty has expired. ill check with clarion and call a local shop if need be. thanks

any other suggestions welcome.

On computer optical drives there is a small hole you can place a paper clip into to manually eject the drive. Being a slot loading, I'm not sure if that exists. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

I've had this problem before and the solution was to use a mini pick tool like the 2nd one to the left in this pic

After I got it out, I cleaned out the inside of the unit by spraying a can of compressed air to rid of the debris that was causing the ejection mechanism to fail.

I had to dis-assemble my pioneer 7 series, clean, lube, and re-assemble....works great now:D

i had the same problem and ended up having to try and pry the cd out. does it start to eject at all?
not really, it doesn't stick out of the slot at all, but i can see the edge of it inside of the slot. im gonna try the mini pick tools and if not, call clarion and send it to them.

its still worth a pretty penny so i dont wanna FK it up. thanks for the suggestions
