So I have really annoying alternator whine, its worse when its cold and wet out and only occurs when the car is running if anyone was going to ask. Me and my friend tried grounding the RCA's on the HU and on the amp. we checked the grounds. I might buy a ground loop isolator at wal*mart. Any Suggestions.

You are always supposed to run the power and signal leads on opposite sides of the car, of course that will help.

Run your power and remote line on the same side of the car as your battery, and your RCAs on the opposite side. Reground your amp, make sure you have a clean piece of sheet metal (sand it down) that is a part of the body. Do not use a secondary panel for your ground like your trunk or a door or even a screw sticking out of the the chassis.
