Can't find thread about cap argument

I'm looking for a thread that was forever long with people arguing about caps.. it had one guy posting huge long techincal post about them and how they work and what they do... any ideas.. what area of the forum it was in?

wanted to show it to a friend who thinks caps are gods.... to prove him wrong.. I"m not saying caps are good or bad.. just that he has the wrong idea about them...

What I meant was, searching for the word useless is how the "useless" cap thread is found. Meaning Caps = useless
