cant find pos. on alternator

I'm trying to do the big 3 on my 2004 dodge ram 1500 4.7l v8. I didn't see the positive post on the alt soI tried to take the alt off but I stopped cause it was ending up to be a lot of work. Can someone tell me where I can find it?

Usually they are on the back side of it and have a red ring around the connection.

its the one with the largest wire coming off of it and going to the battery

there is ually only one wire comming from the altanator...

Mine looks like it has a lot of crap coming off of it. And I can't trace the wire from my battery cause it goes under a lot of crap.

I really want to tell you that if you can't even find your + on the alt you shouldn't be working on your own car, but I'll be nice

haha thiss. but there should only be the pinout and then one seperate BIGGER red wire easy to spot. poke around with a multimeter you have grounded to battery
