No. i bough them off craigslist already wired in the box. He told me they were "d4's wired parallel to 2 ohms" but i found out thats impossible so i posted pics of the wiring on here and people told me 1 ohm.op did you wire the subs?
you could have the coil config messed up because my 1500 rapes. rewire you stuff to 1 ohm and make sure all pos-neg wires are right.. then come backIDK you guys im starting to think im just expecting to much out of this amp.. I listened to em both today like one after the other and the mb quart is louder. Just slightly. Guess i just wanted more output thinking i was going from around 250rms to 1500rms
Of all the reasons I can think to get rid of a head unit, output voltage isn't even on the list...few problems... cant tell if the box you have is actually designed for the drivers... and that HU needs to go... very low pre-out voltage on sony's.
which sdc's are you running, 2.0's or 2.5's?
By increasing power by a factor of six, you're actually still under the threshold for hearing a true doubling of volume to the ear.Guess i just wanted more output thinking i was going from around 250rms to 1500rms
true. Dont get me wrong these subs POUND. think i get a little bit of door flex(just a little) and my sun blockers bounce but the other amp did the same **** there just not a audible differnce unless you listen to one after the other.By increasing power by a factor of six, you're actually still under the threshold for hearing a true doubling of volume to the ear.
This is why even with ultra-cheap 12VDC power, simply adding power is usually the most expensive way to go.
