what to choose between Alpine type R 12" DUAL 2 OHM VOICE COIL or ROCKFORD FOSGATE ''HE'' 12" SINGLE 4 OHM VOICE COIL OR PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND GET A JL W3 12" SVC?

sounds like your voice coil is burnt out...

too much power for too long. it got too hot, probably oxidized the copper in the vc and melted the glue.

we realised it is screwed but wat woofers out of that list would anyone recomend personaly i like the type r but others wil have different opinions on the topic

type r here...IF it has to be off that list, otherwise, an elemental 12k, or adire shiva would work really well.

i know the man and those subs are the only ones in question the cheapest is the RF then Alpine And then JL i like the alpine best then RF then JL he is going to give it 360 rms and he also needs a good compromise between depth sq spl and mid bass ability because it is going with 4 inch comps running off the hu it is going to be an upgrade from an alpine S12 and that thumped like hell till the problem ^^^ that is the facts around here so more oppinions please we have 2 -3 weeks before the money will be saved up but we need the info now because it has to be ordered 2 weeks prior to purchase

type r's have nice sq , as well as the jl's and so does the shiva....never heard the elemental, RF has no sq what so ever....ii myself avoid anything RF

Hey guys I guess RE is having a sale right now, So a 12" SE wouldent be too much more than say a type R BUT they output on a SE will level a typr R. Check em out http://www.reaudio.com , just figured id throw another woofer in to confuse you a little more on your choice

the typeS that he had just went boom boom untill the other day wen it went boom crunch crackle bang boom the yinsel leads have been pulled on from over excursion and snapped on of them that is the price you pay for running the woofers at a higher power than what they are built for
