Can't connect sub to 1 ohm amp

I recently bought a new amp (a1750d) from soundqubed.com

I have a rockfordfosgate p3 dvc 2ohm sub

I wired my sub to 1ohm and connected it to the amp, but it wouldn't play.

The green power button was on and all the connections were connctedted...but it would not play

So then I rewired everything back to my old amp and my sub worked......

Would it not play whatsoever? Did you set your gain on the new amp? If you're sure everything was wired and set up properly, I'd take a look at the amp's fuses and check them each for continuity. If they function properly, perhaps the amp is DOA, and needs to be sent back to the manufacturer.

Yeah I turned up the gain, checked if my wiring was correct, but the sub wouldn't work, but the amp was on

just because the amp turned on ,doesnt mean it works.if the other amp worked fine before and after you installed the soundquebed amp then the amp may be bad

Check those fuses, and don't just visually inspect them either. Sometimes a fuse can be faulty, yet not have a visible break in it.

Yeah, the amp was probably DOA. I'd go ahead and get it exchanged if the fuses are good.
