cancellation???

my girl has a 98' malibu...i put that ghost face h/u in there made by panasonic and i have that running all 4 interior speakers....then i added an amp and subwoofer..its a kicker zr240 and a single e12k sealed...the backseats fold down in the car but when i have them it doesnt seem like the bass is hitting from the sub but when i lay one of the seats down in the back it gets louder...anyone know why this is happening???

r the back seats made of metal? or is any metal between sub n cabin? if so yeah cancellation. n yes, it will be louder if u turn down the seats, or open trunk (outsidE)

yes there is metel on the back of the seats...now if i unhooked the rear deck and just had the front speakers in the door running off the h/u and the sub running off of the amp will that help??? do you think i will be able to hear the bass more?

In most comps rear speakers are just for light rear fill but a well imaged front stage will comphensate for it.

As for taking the rear deck out...look into porting it just right
