That is an event that I'm worried about. The US and China take VERY different stances on Taiwan and we're both very passionate about it.

And terrorists have been around for centuries. Killing and terrorizing for a while now. It's just been made public so everyone is being brainwashed in thinking the world is coming to an end...

If the US stops policing the world there will not be a WWIII in the near future in my opinion. Also, the arab nations will not be the cause of the next world war. The fear tactics of the government are blowing many things way out of porportion as to keep us on the war bandwagon, and keep increasing governmental power.
When the world war comes it will be the US and its allies versus China and it's allies esentially. The two economic powers of the world which run under completely different forms of government - fighting for limited resources.

Also, I am sick and tired of hearing the word "terrorist." It's a crock of shit, plain and simple. The term has been created in an attempt to make us all run in fear. Religious fundamentalists killing in the name of a higher being has been common since the creation of organized religion, and will always be around. It is not a previously unpronounced variable that is going to screw up the balance of the world and cause mass destruction.

The only reason you even want $10 an hour is the price of living. Imagine if a lower economic standard was available. You would be ok with $7 an hour if things were 35% cheaper

Now, for what I'm about to say, take note that I don't necessarily believe it, but I'm laying a premise for a teaching.

Communism, which looks perfect on paper, would predict that our country is headed in the perfect direction. The entire premise of communism is that people are greedy, that wages will get out of hand. The rich will become super rich, the poor super poor...until a breaking point where governmental influence causes jobs like burger flipping to pay ridiculous wages. Eventually, the balance works out where for every job - people are getting essentially the same wages, and are able to afford what they need. At that point, equality is reached, the communist principle. One could argue that with increasing governmental influence over our "capitalist" economy we are turning towards communisim unknowingly , and actually an ideal form of it.

Now, i don't agree with this at all, I agree much more with you - that greed will be the fall of our nation, however, it is important I think to pronounce the other point of view which says that our greed will eventually turn us into a utopian communist society.

EDIT: Cost of living does have a lot in actual reality to do with the wages, plain and simple. Chinese are only able to provide services at 2 bucks an hour because their cost of living is much less than ours.
